Ladies Night

Last night we had a blast at our friend, Connie’s, home. She holds a vintage Halloween party every year that consists of old fashioned games and yummy food. Her house is incredible and the way she had it decorated reminded me of the Disney Haunted House ride. It’s an old Victorian home that they are continually renovating. The house was GORGEOUS!!! I assure you, the pictures do not do it justice. It was a fun evening. As promised, here are the pictures…

Sweet Titus

So, Callie and I went to visit the Epp's today at the hospital. What a wonderful, blessed time. I can't tell you how amazing it was to hold little Titus. I haven't held a baby that young since my brother was born. He is so sweet, and tiny, and just plain adoreable. It's mind blowing to see this little miracle outside of his mother. What an amazing blessing and gift from God. He is truly a beautiful creation and a wonderful blessing. I pray that Titus will know and love his Jesus and Savior. That he will be a "defender of the king", the meaning of his name. I pray that he will be a mighty man for God. We love you baby Titus and welcome to the world.

Hello Baby!

Our friends, Ryan and Jessica Epp, had their baby boy yesterday. Jess and Ryan are part of our small group and we love them to pieces. Here are some pics of Titus Ryan Epp.... God Bless and we can't wait to see you, Titus.

Politics, Good Friends, and Long Walk

Okay, so the title of this post should sum up just how random this post will be :-) First off, I am absolutely thrilled about the McCain, Palin campaign. I know their both politicians, but Sarah Palin has a very geniune presence. I really enjoyed her speech at the Republican convention. I'm also very excited about McCain. I with most, but not all, of his policies, and I really admire his service in the war. What an amazing story and what courage. Okay, enough of my politics for now, time for the next random thing.

On Monday night we got to spend a great evening with an old friend, Max, from Flagstaff. He and Aaron went to highschool together and have continued to stay friends over the years. We went to McMenamins (yumm!), Aaron's dental school, and had a nice round of Season 5 of The Simpsons. It was a lot of fun, and really great to see someone from home.

Finally, the last bit of randomness. Today Aaron and I went for a very, very long walk from our house to Mount Tabor. We took Little Missy, aka Leila, with us. She was sooo, tired by the end, and has slept the rest of the day away. It was really nice just to get out of the house and take an "urban hike." The whole thing took us almost 2 hours, round trip, and was simply delightful. I hope all of you in computer land are having a great week as well. God Bless!

Fourth of July Celebration

We had a wonderful little celebration at our house with our friends, Tim and Cheryl. We made terryaki chicken and they brought the fireworks. That's one thing I really love about Oregon, you can light leagal fireworks, it's so much fun. Before we had our own little bombs bursting in air, we played a glorious round of Taboo. I fyou have never played this game, it's a must, lots of fun. Anyway, we of course did guys vs girls. The girls won by 25 points! It was great! Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth. Here are the pictures of our little fireworks show. God Bless! Cheryl and Me

(Every time we take a picture on the Fourth, we end up looking drunk. So it has become a tradition to take the "I'm no drunk picture")

Rest in Peace

I found out this evening that my Pastor's mother died from cancer. It's a very strange feeling, I'm sad, but I can't cry right now. I've known her my entire life and she has been like a grandmother to me, but I guess it hasn't hit me yet. Well, I don't have much to say except I know she was a Godly woman who is with her savior now enjoying paradise. I love you, Toni, and I will miss you. God Bless.

This picture of Brad and Toni was taken at our wedding in May of '05.
