Reticule…

Hello All! I hope your week is going well. Mine started off horribly, with major stresses at work, and is ending well, with the visit of my parents.

This week I made a reticule. For some reason I always seem to outgrow my purses in modern life, so why would my historical life be any different. I have too many things to fit into my little reticule now, and it was time for a larger one.

Here are the pics! Have a blessed rest of the week. Love Lauren :-)

Lovely embroidery, looks very period, to my limited knowledge! I think it will look just a little better as a reticule than a hat ;)

Did you draw the pattern?

I used a period exampled I found in one of my books and then drew it from that..

Beautiful! And also makes a nice... er... hat!
:)
I just love putting random stuff on the husband. He won't let me post pictures, though.

I wanted to also tell you,
I am so blessed by your blog. I am so thankful that there is another Christian woman that has similar interests. Thank you so much!

WOW! Beautiful embroidery. What embroidery stitches do you use for such embroidery? The only ones I know are chain stitch, feather stitch, french knots and lazy daisy. I'd love to be able to embroider like you someday.

Aaron looks incredibly handsome in it. What a versatile piece! A bag and a hat. :)
