Life has been pretty busy as of late. Aaron just finished his summer term and is preparing for his second board exam in September and I’m working away at my job, as usual.
In between work and sewing for client, I have had a little time to work on my own project. Here are the pictures of the bodice thus far. I’m planning to add trim around the neckline and on the sleeves. I also need to hem the peplum and add hooks and eyes to the stomacher and bodice. Right now, it’s pinned onto my dress form. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful week. God Bless!

Oh, I love it! Those fabrics are fabulous! Totally ball worthy!
GORGEOUS! You have amazing patterning skills - do you prefer draping or drafting?
Oh yeah! Do want! So pretty, what a wonderful fabric(s)!
I can only echo everyone else - so pretty! That fabric is lovely and the shape is wonderful. Gorgeous!
Love, love, love it!
FABULOUS! Wow. The fabric is drool worthy and I love the bodice. That is going to be one gorgeous gown.
Lauren,
I tend to do a mix of the two. I find a pattern that I really like and then I alter it accordingly. I usually start by drafting. Then I cut it out of muslin and pin it to my dress form. I make my markings, if there are changes, and transfer them to my tracing paper. :-D
Oooh! So pretty!
