You know, Fridays have always been one of my favorite days of the week. I think the main reason is the anticipation for two whole days ahead to myself. No work, no real schedule, time to take care of my house, hang out with my husband, do a little sewing, cook, and other homey pleasures. So here's to Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead. God Bless!!!!
Love Lauren
Everday Lauren in the 21st century. Weird, huh?

You know your are a historical costume-addict when you and your friends really do look weird in 21st century fashions. . .:) (you still are very pretty, but it's odd to see you out of regency or 18th century attire!) :)
Hi Lauren,
Thank you for your posts. I too ADORE Fridays and ESPECIALLY Saturdays! Ahh, no time schedule, no rush rush rush or major stress. The bless-ed weekend!
I feel for you on your day of irritations. I worked 13 hours yesterday (with a half-hour lunch). It was hopping busy. We had two patients who were contact meaning that before entering their rooms you have to gown up (gown and gloves and in one case--mask). One girl had a latex allergy therefore the dawning of the foot covers before entering her room. Of course, we had two post-procedure vitals and three new patients. Both of these things take up LOTS and LOTS of time. I ran my little toosh off. Would that I had a pedometer, because I know that I put on many miles. The day couldn’t end soon enough, but of course it finally did, and I came home exhausted.
Tomorrow is a fun day, however. We’re going to take the little people to the St. Patty’s Day parade downtown and watch DD’s boyfriend play his bagpipe. After that, some home chores and much-neglected cooking. :) Have a GREAT weekend!
You guys are awesome!
Sarah,
You are so right. I always feel more comfortable and 'normal' in historical clothing. Modern clothes just don't quite do it for me.
