Villian’s Ball

Sir Thomas and I attended a small gathering at the Ainsworth Estate on Saturday Eve.  We joined the de Valois’ and Mme de Bordeaux for libations at a local tavern before arriving at the estate. The evening was quiet and we spent the time laying whist and drinking fine wines and ports at the card tables. It was a relaxing evening full of diverting conversation and company.

Just wanted to let you know that when I'm looking at your blog, Chris always looks over my shoulder with interest to see what the men in your group are wearing. :)

Also, where did you find those great boots for Sir Thomas? I admired them in the pictures of your fox hunt, too.

Hehehe, thanks! We found his boots online and I have no idea what the name of the site was. I do have a link, though, for a place that carries similar boots.

You guys and gals seem to have the funnest times! :) I sure wish my man was into these old-fashioned events and parties and games. What fun! But I get to live vicariously through your blog, so I thank you for that. :)

Thanks for the link! I've seen a couple nice-looking boots online, but I forgot to bookmark it. Glad to hear they come recommended - I think I've seen Fugawee recommended by a few different people now.
