It’s Finished …

I had some time this afternoon to crank out the gold silk petticoat to go with my new spencer. I’m pretty happy with the results. It’s not my favorite ensemble, but it will do. I think it’s a good representation of the transitional fashions of the late 1790’s. I decided to put “Lady D” on for the photos. I do think she is a little large for this ensemble. I’m thinking my smaller wig will work better. Anyway, here are the pictures….

I hope you had a lovely Easter. He is risen!

So gorgeous! I do think you should make a white petticoat to go with it too, just for variety.

I'm so envious of how fast you sew!

Oh Lauren *GASP* It's gorgeous! I especially love that first photo of you with your hair down. You look beautiful beyond words. The colors go so well together and the lace is the perfect touch. You did a fantastic job and I too, am jealous of how fast you can sew (and hand sew, at that!)

Absolutely lovely! You do so well catch the style of this period - you look as if you were jumped out of the "gallery of fashion" :)
