Aaron’s Frock Coat

Hello Dear Friends and Readers, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. The past three weeks I have constructing the Frock Coat of doom! It was certainly the hardest thing I have made thus far. It took multiple fittings, stitch ripping, and adjustments to get it just right for Aaron.

I finally finished it last night around midnight. Aaron then tried it on with his full garb and announced that he wanted to go for a walk. So there we were at midnight wondering down the streets in costume and taking pictures. Here they are! Enjoy!

Here we are. I have no idea what is going on with Aaron’s eye. I think the red eye fix backfired.

God Bless and have a great rest of your weekend!

What a fun thing to do! The coat looks great. Love the ghosty-pics too. How did you do that?

Hi "Other Lauren" :-)

Aaron loves to play with the exposure settings on his camera. He set it to 15 secs and we walked very slowly in front of it. It was fun! Thanks for the complement. It's nice to "meet" you.

Wow, Lauren, that turned out really sharp! I especially love Aaron's "Blue Steel" pose... ::LOL::

Are you going to add any trim? The silk is pretty impressive as is, but nonetheless... It's BEAUTIFUL. I can't wait to see it in person. His waistcoat looks much better with this style of frock-coat.

Oh, what I would do to have someone who is as much into the costuming as I am. ::sighs::

Wow! It may have been the Frock Coat of Doom but it turned out perfectly. I never would have known it cost you so much labor and time! :) You did a wonderful job and the pictures are great. What fun to walk down the street at midnight in costume!! The ghostly pics are sooooo fun. Great job!!!
