Robe l'Anglaise Progress

Hi Everyone,

I have been slowly working on my robe l'anglaise round gown for a couple of weeks now. I say slowly, because I usually zip through my projects as fast as I can. On this project, I'm taking my sweet time, sewing a little bit in the evenings and on the weekends. It's been very relaxing and fun.

I also made another straw hat for picnics and strolls and other such events. I took a straw hat and shaped it so the front brim dips down and the back flips up a bit. I then added some wired ribbon around the crown and pleated the top layer. Then I made a bow out of green ribbon for the back.

Here are some pictures of both the bodice and the hat. God Bless!!!
Love Lauren

Have a great week!

Ooh, the bodice and hat look great!! I can't wait to see the gown when you are finished. It looks wonderful so far. I really like the longer sleeves.

The hat is beautiful! The bodice looks like it will have a very nice fit when you are done!
