What We've Been Up To :-)

Well, we haven't been doing a whole lot lately. We had a much needed relaxing weekend at home, just spending time with each other and our fur babies. Today we went for a very long walk down to Reed College, about 5 miles from our house, and back home with Leila Lu. It was nice and overcast, but not raining. And the scenery, of course, was beautiful. Then we headed home for lunch and took a nice long nap :-) It was a wonderful weekend.

I also started on a new project. I'm doing my own version of a 1795 open robe coat, like the one pictured below on Marriane Dashwood.

Here is the start of mine :-)

And finally, I leave you with pictures of our little kitchen garden. It's coming along quite nicely. God Bless :-)

I admire your ability to make your own costume. I wish I could sew. I saw so many great outfits at the Pasadena Jane Austen evening. The ones based on designs from the films are always eye catching. The Oregon Jane Austen ball looks wonderful.

Thanks so much for your nice comment on my blog. I also am very impressed by your garden!! I have always wanted to grow a kitchen garden...you should do a tutorial on your blog :) I would totally be a faithful student.

How lovely the fabric is you are making your robe from! Your garden looks great. The little plants look so healthy and it will be wonderful to have organic produce from your own garden!
